British hopes forge on

Not many things in our modern society can capture the dream and imagination of an entire nation like the power of sports. Andy Murray is a 21 year old tennis phenom from Great Britain. He captured the entire of Britain's dream by completing a miraculous comeback in the round of 16 at the Wimbledon tennis championships. He forged on to the quarterfinals where he ended up losing to the eventual champion Rafael Nadal. However this did thrust his career to a new level and it kept the British hopes alive of having a British Wimbledon champion sometime in the future. The feat of having a British Wimbledon champion has not been achieved since 1936. The whole country has been patiently waiting through various other British born tennis players in hopes of seeing one of their own capture the trophy. Like Chicago Cubs fans, the Brits have been through many emotional roller coasters such as the years in which Tim Henman carried the dreams of the nation. Tim was a four time semifinalist at Wimbledon but due to Tim either blowing leads or having inconvenient weather delays (It's London, what else would you expect?) he was never able to break through. In a world so devastated by a declining environment and cultural differences, Andy Murray looks ready to distract the people from those problems and is poised to capture the dreams of a nation.
